Method

  • 1

Wash the potatoes thoroughly. Leaving the skin on, pierce each potato lengthwise through the center with a wooden skewer.

  • 2

Using a sharp knife, make a continuous diagonal cut along the potato down to the skewer, rotating the potato as you slice to create a spiral effect. Gently pull the slices apart along the skewer to fan out the spiral.

  • 3

In a small bowl, combine the breadcrumbs, dried herbs, smoked paprika, chili (if using), salt, and black pepper.

  • 4

Place the potato skewers into the air fryer basket. Coat thoroughly with Olitalia FRIENN Spray, ensuring the oil reaches between the spirals. Generously sprinkle the breadcrumb mixture evenly over the potatoes, then flip the skewers and repeat on the other side.

  • 5

Cook in the air fryer at 200°C (390°F) for 15 minutes. If needed, extend cooking for a few extra minutes at 180°C (350°F) until the potatoes are golden brown and crispy on the outside, yet tender on the inside. Serve hot with a light final mist of oil spray and your favorite dipping sauce.
